We have never come across any beverage coaster with this high a degree of absorbency.  Your glass will stick to many coasters - but NOT these, because the carpet soaks up all of the moisture.  Our family purchased some over 11 years ago and they are still in near perfect condition less some years of fading.  Other people have told us they have had theirs for over 20+ years!  No joke.  These coasters last a very long time!

Details: Approximately 1/4" in height X 4 1/4" across.  The bottom of each coaster is glued to a rubber type backing which prevents the carpet from falling or pulling apart.  These are very sturdy coasters made from heavy duty industrial carpet.
